Motorists are advised that sections of Carnrike Road, Salem Road, and Victoria Road may experience rough driving conditions following recent road rehabilitation work completed as part of the 2026 Rural Road Program.
The significant rainfall received between June 14 and June 18 has resulted in saturated conditions within the pulverized road base. Under these conditions, the effectiveness of grading and compaction is significantly reduced until the road base has had an opportunity to dry.
County staff and the contractor are monitoring conditions and will undertake maintenance activities as weather and road conditions permit.
Reduced speed advisory signs have been installed throughout the affected areas. Motorists are asked to reduce their speed, use caution, and be prepared for changing road conditions when travelling through these sections.
