Opening of outdoor rinks in Ameliasburgh ward delayed by vandalism

February 8, 2024

Outdoor rinks in Rossmore and Consecon are currently not in operation due to acts of vandalism.

Unknown members of the public have chipped the ice and damaged the liner. County staff have ordered new liners and will work to rebuild the ice rink later this week, weather dependent.

The County has notified the local Ontario Provincial Police about the vandalism. If you have any information regarding this incident, you are asked to contact the OPP through its non-emergency line, 1.888.310.1122.

Free public skating and ticketed shinny hockey opportunities are available at the Wellington and District Community Centre and the Prince Edward Community Centre. Click here to view the schedule.

Free public skating and other activities are available on Family Day, February 19, from 9 am until 3 pm at the Wellington and District Community Centre (111 Belleville Street). Visit the County website for more details.
