Public information meeting for Fawcette Avenue (Picton) subdivision application scheduled for April 16

April 3, 2024

A public information meeting for a development proposal at Part of Lot 64, Hallowell Ward –western portion of Fawcette Avenue at the Millennium Trail — will take place at the Picton Rotary Hall (375 Picton Main Street) on Tuesday, April 16 at 6 pm.

The County has received an application to approve a Draft Plan of Subdivision and a Zoning By-law Amendment. The application would result in the property owners receiving permission to develop the site into a combination of 31 single-detached and 54 townhouse dwellings.

Members of the public who wish to attend the meeting are asked to register by contacting Matthew Coffey, Planning Approvals, Coordinator, at mcoffey@pecounty.on.ca by noon on Monday, April 15. If you have any questions regarding the location or format of the public meeting please contact Mr. Coffey.

This public meeting is an information meeting only. Public information meetings are held as part of the updated planning application process.

At a public information meeting, the proponent/agent will present the proposal. If any member of the public would like to ask questions or make comments, they will be able to do so after the presentation by the applicant.

The statutory public meeting required under the Planning Act will be a Planning Committee meeting and would only be held after the public information meeting and when the assigned County planner has completed an analysis of the project.
