Public invited to share input on Argyle Park (Picton) improvements

October 30, 2024

The public can share their ideas for improving Argyle Park in Picton at a meeting on Tuesday, November 5.

The meeting will take place from 5 – 7 pm at Argyle Park (10/12 Argyle Crescent. Click here to view a Google Map of the location).

Argyle Park includes a picnic table and a three-piece swing set that is more than 30 years old. There is green space with a few mature trees. With the recent growth in that neighbourhood, there is a greater demand for park amenities that Argyle Park cannot currently meet.

County Council approved in the 2024 capital budget $90,000 for the installation of new playground equipment. Local residents have also expressed their desire to fundraise up to $55,000, which would be used for naturalization, park seating, and shade for gatherings.

At the meeting on November 5, municipal staff will share further details about the improvement project. Residents can then share their feedback and input on the vision for Argyle Park.

If you have any questions or require further information, please contact Lisa Lindsay, Director, Recreation and Community Facilities, by email llindsay@pecounty.on.ca or call 613.476.2148 extension 5001.
