The road closure on York Street in Picton, originally scheduled for Wednesday, February 26, has been cancelled.
- The contractors will be unable to complete the geotechnical work because of the placement of multiple existing utilities within the roadway and the narrow width of the corridor.
- Staff are exploring alternative methods to obtain the information required for this project.
- This work is part of the York Street Reconstruction that was approved by Council in 2024. The project will include replacing a large sanitary sewer and installing a new water main along with new roadway, curbs and sidewalk.
