Section of Fry Road closed for culvert replacements beginning October 26

October 20, 2026

Fry Road near the intersection of County Road 5 will be closed for approximately three weeks beginning Monday, October 26.

  • The closure is required so that the municipality can replace three large culverts near the intersection.
  • The municipality anticipates that the work will take three weeks to complete. Updates will be provided if the work schedule changes.
  • The road will be closed for the duration of construction. Local access for residents on Fry Road will be maintained off of County Road 4. There will be no access to Fry Road from County Road 5.
  • Work will take place between 7 am and 7 pm, Monday to Friday.
  • The municipality will deliver notices door-to-door to Fry Road residents impacted by the construction.
  • Heavy equipment will limit visibility in the area and noise levels will be elevated for the duration of the work.
  • The municipality understands that road closures can be frustrating and may affect your daily travel plans. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we complete these important culvert replacements to help protect the long-term safety and reliability of the road.
  • For more information, contact the County of Prince Edward at 613.476.2148 extension 1023, 613.962.9108 extension 1023, or info@pecounty.on.ca.
