Section of Picton Main Street closed September 30 to October 4

Picton Main Street will be closed from Spencer Street to County Road 6 from Monday, September 30 through to and including Friday, October 4.

  • The closure is necessary to safely complete the installation of the underground services in a restricted section of the road allowance north of Spencer Street.
  • The detour route is the same as the alternative detour route currently in place. Southbound motorists can travel County Road 6 to County Road 5/Johnson Street and back to Picton Main Street. Northbound motorists can travel from Johnson Street/County Road 5 to County Road 6 and back to Picton Main Street. Signage is in place.
  • Local traffic using Picton Main Street south of McFarland Drive and Spencer Street will be permitted. Access will be maintained for properties on both sides of the closed section of Picton Main Street.
  • Heavy equipment may limit visibility in the area and noise levels will be elevated for the duration of the work.
