Section of Short Street (Picton) closed July 23

July 21, 2026

Short Street in Picton will be closed between Washburn Street and Downes Avenue on Thursday, July 23.

The closure will occur from 8 am to 3 pm. Only local traffic will be permitted.

The closure is required so that Hydro One can remove a hazard tree. There will be heavy equipment on site.

For everyone’s safety, motorists are asked to:

  • Respect all road closure signs and barricades.
  • Avoid the closed section during the construction period if possible.
  • Allow extra travel time through the area.

The municipality thanks residents and visitors for their patience and cooperation during these important maintenance activities.
