Share your feedback on upcoming County Road 49 rehabilitation

June 17, 2026

The County of Prince Edward is asking for public feedback on the major structural rehabilitation of County Road 49.

Click here to fill out the survey.

The results of the survey will help inform the project and the ways the municipality communicates to residents, businesses and visitors.

The survey will take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete. Paper copies will be available at Shire Hall. You can also call Customer Service at 613.476.2148 extension 1023 to arrange to complete the survey over the phone.

A public information centre (PIC) for the County Road 49 rehabilitation took place last week. Click here to view the information boards that were on display at the PIC.

The designs for the project are complete, and work is tentatively scheduled to begin during the 2026 construction season.

A minimum of one lane of traffic, operating under alternating directions, will be maintained at all times throughout construction.

During this construction season, the contractor anticipates completing the following work:

  • Rubblizing County Road 49 between County Road 15 (Northport Road) and Civic Address 684 County Road 49.
  • Placement of granular material followed by the first and second overlay of asphalt
  • Subdrain installation
  • Culvert replacements
  • Box culvert waterproofing

The municipality will provide updates to the public throughout the project. Click here to sign up for the email notices.
