Skyway Bridge overnight closure rescheduled for August 24 – 25

August 11, 2023

August 11, 2023

The full mainline night closure of the Bay of Quinte Skyway Bridge previously scheduled for Thursday August 17 has been rescheduled due to ongoing poor weather conditions.

The closure will now take place overnight Thursday, August 24 and Friday, August 25.

  • The closure of the bridge will take place from 9 pm on Thursday, August 24 until 6 am on Friday, August 25.
  • This closure is intended for relocating temporary concrete barriers, temporary energy attenuators, placing temporary pavement markings, and flipping traffic to the east side of the bridge.
  • In case of poor weather conditions, the closure may be rescheduled to take place from 9 pm on Monday, August 28 to 6 am on Tuesday, August 29.

No traffic will be permitted to pass over the bridge during the above closures. Please refer to the Glenora Ferry website for more information about using this service as an alternative route. If you have any questions or concerns, please visit the project website.
