Exciting progress is underway on the County of Prince Edward County’s new long-term care home.
This important project will create a modern, 124,500 square foot facility and increase capacity from 84 to 160 beds. The new Home will help the municipality better support seniors in the community now and into the future.
The $94.7 million project budget remains on track, with construction now 45 per cent complete. Crews have installed the access road, and the gravel base is prepared for asphalt paving. Work continues to advance steadily, with exterior walls and sheathing currently being installed. The second-floor concrete slab has been poured, staircases are in place, and the second level now offers impressive views of the Millennium Trail. The project remains on schedule for completion in 2027.
