Take short survey and help shape future of fire services

August 18, 2026

The County of Prince Edward is asking for public input as it develops a Fire Master Plan.

The Fire Master Plan will recommend strategies and actions that Prince Edward County Fire and Rescue can use to ensure that community needs are met today and in the future.

The municipality has partnered with The Loomex Group to review its fire and emergency services and develop a comprehensive plan. Loomex is working closely with Fire and Rescue throughout the process.

Loomex is directly engaging many individual and groups in the community. They also want to hear from residents, business owners, property owners, and visitors through an online survey.

Click here to take the survey.

This survey provides community members with an opportunity to comment on the fire and emergency services they receive in Prince Edward County. The survey will take approximately seven minutes to complete. All answers will remain anonymous.

You can also fill out a survey in person at Shire Hall (332 Picton Main Street) or the Picton Fire Station (8 McDonald Drive).

Have your say about other County services

In addition to the Fire Master Plan, the municipality is seeking public input as it reviews the other services it delivers, the level at which they are provided, and how those services are funded.

The municipality wants to understand what services matter most to you, how satisfied you are with current service levels, and where you would support maintaining, increasing, reducing, or changing service levels.

Click here to fill out the survey online.

You can also fill out a survey in person at Shire Hall (332 Picton Main Street). Copies are available for pick up at Prince Edward County Public Library branches.
