Temporary closure of municipal ball diamond infields

April 11, 2025

The infield playing areas of municipal ball diamonds in Wellington, Picton and Ameliasburgh are temporarily closed until further notice.

The closures are necessary due to the recent heavy rainfall, causing the infields of the ball diamonds to be deemed unsafe for use.

Playing on wet or saturated surfaces can cause long-term damage to the infield and delay the baseball season.

The grassy areas of the outfields remain open.

The County of Prince Edward thanks residents for their cooperation and understanding that the infield closures will help protect the ball diamonds from being damaged.
