Traffic disruptions in Wellington June 30 & July 1 for Canada Day festivities

Road closures and restrictions will be in place in Wellington on June 30 and July 1 for Canada Day festivities.

Sunday, June 30

The following road closures / restrictions will take place for the Wellington Street Dance & Fireworks Show:

  • Wellington Main Street between Wharf Street and Maple Street will be closed from 6 pm – 10:30 pm.

Parking in the village will be limited. Street parking is available on side streets (outside of the closure zones) and the Wellington and District Community Centre lot (111 Belleville Street, which is a 15-minute walk to the concert stage).

Monday, July 1

The following road closures / restrictions will take place for the Canada Day parade:

  • Wellington Main Street, between Belleville Street and Consecon Street, will be closed from 10:30 am to 11:15 am. Belleville Street will also be closed during this time between the Wellington and District Community Centre and Wellington Main Street. Traffic will be detoured along Belleville Street, Niles Street and Consecon Street.
