Contractors retained by the County of Prince Edward will be drilling boreholes on sections of County Road 3 and County Road 1 from Tuesday, August 26 to Thursday, August 28.
- Work will take place between the hours of 7 am and 7 pm.
- The work will begin on County Road 3 and finish on County Road 1. Work on County Road 3 will take place between civic address 1460 and civic address 1668. View the map. County Road 1 work will take place between the roundabout (Warings Corner) and Mallory Road. View the map.
- There will be no road closures during this time. Lane restrictions and traffic control will be in place.
- Motorists are asked to avoid the construction area and travel alternate routes, if possible.
- Heavy equipment may limit visibility in the area and noise levels will be elevated for the duration of the work.
- The rehabilitation work on these roads is part of the Council-approved capital budget.
- The boreholes will help the municipality gain valuable information about the subsurface conditions on these roads. This information will then inform the design of the project.
