Traffic disruptions on County Road 49 (Picton) March 18-20

March 17, 2025

Periodic single lane closures on County Road 49 will occur between March 18-20

  • The County of Prince Edward has hired a contractor to sample monitoring wells on County Road 49, between McFarland Drive and Folkard Lane. Periodic single lane closures will be taking place between March 18-20. All pedestrian traffic will remain open.
  • This work is part of the Picton Main Street (County Road 49) reconstruction that was approved by Council in 2024. The project will include replacing a large sanitary sewer and installing a new watermain and storm sewer, along with new roadway, curbs and sidewalk.
