The Water and Wastewater Department will be working with contractors to conduct repairs/replacement of a sanitary sewer lateral at the intersection of Johnson Street and Hill Street in Picton on Monday, January 13.
- Work will take place on Monday, January 13 between approximately 7 am and 5 pm.
- Johnson Street east of Picton Main Street will be closed to through traffic for the duration of the repair. Traffic control will be in place. Motorists are asked to avoid the construction area and travel alternate routes.
- Heavy equipment may limit visibility in the area and noise levels will be elevated for the duration of the repair.
- These repairs are not expected to impact water quality or sanitary sewer service. Should coloured water be experienced due to vibrations from construction, customers are encouraged to flush the cold water tap closest to the water meter until water runs clear once work is complete.
