Upcoming Council meetings rescheduled

Mayor Steve Ferguson has re-scheduled this week’s Council meetings out of respect for the passing of former Member of Provincial Parliament Gary Fox.

“I was deeply saddened when I learned about the passing of Gary Fox. Gary was a highly regarded member of our local community. He served his constituents with grace and dignity and certainly set an outstanding example for us around the Council table to follow,” Mayor Steve Ferguson says.

The regular Council meeting scheduled for Tuesday, December 13 will move to Wednesday, December 14 at 7 pm at the Highline Hall inside the Wellington and District Community Centre. Click here to view the meeting agenda.

The special Council meeting scheduled for Wednesday, December 14 will move to Tuesday, December 20 at 7 pm Highline Hall inside the Wellington and District Community Centre. Mayor Ferguson has called this meeting in order to discuss the governance model options for Council as well as advisory boards and committees. The agenda for this meeting will be published on the County’s website by Wednesday, December 14.
