Walk-in spaces available at COVID-19 vaccine clinics on Jan. 13 & Jan. 17

Walk-in spaces are available at the COVID-19 vaccine clinic in Picton (375 Picton Main Street) on Thursday, January 13 and Monday, January 17.

To manage demand and ensure people do not have to wait outside in the cold, walk-in spaces are available based on the following criteria:

Thursday, January 13, 10 am – 4 pm:

  • Individuals 60 years of age or older who are seeking a booster dose
  • Anyone under the age of 60 looking for their first, second, or third dose if they qualify
  • Pregnant women

Monday, January 17, 1-7 pm:

  • Individuals 50 years of age or older who are seeking a booster dose
  • Anyone under the age of 50 looking for their first, second, or third dose if they qualify
  • Health-care workers
  • Education and childcare workers

If you are looking to get your vaccine without an appointment, please arrive no later than 30 minutes before the clinic is scheduled to end.

Walk-in space available for front-line workers

The County continues to facilitate access to the COVID-19 vaccine for employees in front-line businesses such grocery stores, retailers and restaurants. If a business owner or representative wants their staff members to walk into the clinic on Monday, January 17, they must call 613.476.2148 extension 5003 or 5004. The business owner should be prepared to give the names of the staff who wish to attend the clinic and to highlight any staff who are under the age of 30 for the purposes of managing vaccine supply.

Anyone 12 years of age or older can still book an appointment for any of the Picton vaccination clinics through the online provincial portal or by calling the Provincial Vaccine Contact Centre at 1.833.943.3900.

Walk-in appointments for younger age groups seeking their booster dose may be available at future vaccine clinics in Picton in January. For updates follow the County on Facebook and Twitter.
