The Water and Wastewater Department will be working to conduct a water service repair on County Road 49 between Folkard Lane and Wellings Drive in Picton.
- Repairs will begin Thursday, October 6 at 8 am, with an expected completion time of 6 pm the same day.
- Flow of traffic on County Road 49 will not be disrupted; however, heavy equipment may limit visibility in the area and noise levels will be elevated for the duration of the repair. Motorists are asked to take caution in the construction area and take alternate routes where possible.
- These repairs are not expected to impact water quality; however, local residents may experience an interruption to water service while repairs are underway. Intermittent pressure fluctuations and coloured water may be experienced temporarily when service is restored. The water remains safe to drink when service is restored. Those in the construction area who may experience disruptions will receive a hand delivered notice.
- If coloured water is experienced, customers are encouraged to flush their water lines at the cold water tap nearest to the water meter once repairs are complete and water service is restored.
