March 14, 2024

March 14, 2024

The Water and Wastewater Department will be working to conduct watermain valve maintenance at various locations throughout Wellington.

  • Work will begin at approximately 4 am on Friday, March 15 with an expected completion time of 4 pm the same day.
  • Operators will be working in the roadway at various locations throughout Wellington including Wellington Main Street and Belleville Street. Traffic will be directed around working crews. Vehicles and equipment may limit visibility and noise levels will be elevated for the duration of the maintenance. Motorists are asked to be cautious of mobile working crews.
  • This work is not expected to impact water quality; however, residents on Main Street and Belleville Street could experience coloured water as a result of maintenance. The water remains safe to drink throughout the duration of construction.
  • If coloured water is experienced, customers are encouraged to flush their water lines at the cold water tap nearest to the water meter once maintenance work is complete.
