The Water and Wastewater Department will be working to conduct a fire hydrant installation on Yuill Crescent in Rossmore on Thursday, September 24.
- Work will take place from approximately 8 am to 5 pm.
- The construction will take place on Yuill Cresent between the intersection of Bay Breeze Street and Baigent Court. Traffic control will be in place. The work area may be reduced to one lane for the duration of work. Motorists are asked to avoid the construction area if possible.
- Heavy equipment may limit visibility in the area and noise levels will be elevated for the duration of the repair. Motorists are asked to be cautious of the work crew.
- This work is not expected to impact water quality; however, residents on Yuill Crescent from Bay Breeze Street to Baigent Court may experience lower or no water pressure. Coloured water is possible when the watermain is returned to service. The water remains safe to drink throughout the duration of construction.
- If coloured water is experienced, customers are encouraged to flush their water lines at the cold water tap nearest to the water meter once maintenance work is complete.
