The stories of veterans from Wellington and Hillier are front and centre at the Wellington Heritage Museum (290 Wellington Main Street) during this season of remembrance.
The County Museums in partnership with the Wellington Community Association present “Wellington Remembers,” an exhibit sharing the lives and experiences of those who served. The exhibit showcases items loaned by veterans’ families and pieces from the museum’s collection that represent life on the front lines and here at home.
The exhibit will run until Sunday, November 29. The museum is open from Wednesday to Sunday 1 pm to 4 pm.
Wellington Heritage Museum is open for extended hours on Remembrance Day from 10 am – 4 pm. The public is invited to come to the museum before and after the Remembrance Day ceremony in Wellington to explore the exhibit.
Follow the County on Facebook, Instagram and X/Twitter as we share local history and information about the projects, events, and initiatives that honour the veterans who sacrificed for our freedoms. In addition, visit the County’s community calendar to find more information about events related to Remembrance Day.
