Composter Giveaway

Prince Edward County recognizes the benefits of composting organics. particularly the cost benefits composting at home can have on the overall waste management budget.
In support of this, the County is giving away a limited number of composters to the public to support the most efficient means of managing organics waste; Back yard composting. A select number of these composters can be reserved online on a first come first serve basis.
Reserved composters will not be retained beyond the giveaway day.
The remaining available composters will be available for in person pickup at the works garage located at 115 Lake Street in Picton.
Composters will be available on a first come first serve basis.
Those participating are asked to provide the location where the composter will be installed.
A demonstration and home composting guide will be provided to those interested.
