OPA-01-26 – Minor Zoning By-law Amendment

The Municipality has initiated an application for Official Plan Amendment to define a minor Zoning By-law Amendment (ZBA). The OPA is sought to facilitate the delegation of minor ZBAs to a Committee of Council or member of staff to streamline the approval process for minor applications. Applications that are minor or technical in nature are being considered as a type of minor ZBA, these including: ZBAs to extend a zone boundary where required to facilitate a lot addition; ZBAs to prohibit residential uses on a retained lot to facilitate a surplus dwelling severance; and ZBAs to enact or extend a temporary use.
