The County of Prince Edward has received applications for Site Plan Control to permit the development of a new long term care facility. This facility will be situated on municipally owned land adjacent to the existing H.J. McFarland Memorial Home.

The proposed facility will consist of single-storey and two storey wings, with a total of 160 beds. The main vehicular access (both personal and commercial) to the building will be from an extension of the existing Finnegan Drive, which connects directly to County Road 49.
