Teeny Tiny Summit 2025

The County of Prince Edward was proud to host the 2025 Teeny Tiny Summit on Thursday, May 1 at the Crystal Palace in Picton.

The theme for this year’s summit was “Engage and Energize – Empowering Teeny Tiny Places.”

Peter Kenyon was welcomed as a keynote speaker. Mr. Kenyon is a renowned social capitalist and community enthusiast from Bank of I.D.E.A.S. in Australia. Over the last four decades, he has worked with more than 2,000 communities throughout Australia and overseas to facilitate fresh and creative ways that stimulate community and local economic renewal. He is motivated by the desire to create healthy, caring, inclusive, connected, sustainable and enterprising communities and local economies.

Background

Teeny Tiny Summits started in 2016 as a forum to discuss scale-appropriate economic development strategies for Ontario’s smallest communities. Teeny Tiny Summits share practical examples, lessons learned and community economic development tactics. Since inception, the summits have been hosted in every region of the province and attracted more than 3,000 attendees both in person and virtually.

The Teeny Tiny Summit is delivered in partnership the Rural Ontario Municipal Association (ROMA), which provides funding for the keynote speaker, and the Ministry of Rural Affairs.  OMAFA (now MRA) works with the host communities to deliver the program content.
