Through partnership with the Hastings and Prince Edward Learning Foundation, the “Feed the Meter” campaign will return on Monday, December 1.
- While parking in Picton is free beginning December 1, drivers are encouraged to “feed the meter” during the month with all proceeds going to Food for Learning.
- All donations will help support the Food for Learning program that works to ensure all local students have daily access to healthy nutritious food while at school. By feeding the meter you will be feeding the more than 6,000 students who access the Food for Learning programs every day.
- Donations can be made at the parking meter using coins, credit cards and non-PIN debit cards or through the Passport Pay app on your mobile device’s App Store. Alternatively, donations can be made on the Hastings and Prince Edward Learning Foundation website here.
- Free parking in Picton on Picton Main Street, Walton Street, Elizabeth Street, Ross Street, Market Lane and a small section of King Street, will continue until March 31, 2026.
