County of Prince Edward launches free co-working space pilot program at Picton Town Hall

January 15, 2026

Picton – The County of Prince Edward is introducing a new way for remote workers, entrepreneurs, and freelancers to connect and collaborate.

Starting this month, County Commons Co-Working will offer a free, shared workspace at Picton Town Hall every Thursday.

The pilot program is designed to support local professionals who need a productive environment outside their home or office. County Commons provides open Wi-Fi, individual and shared workspaces, and a welcoming environment for networking and idea-sharing.

“Our most recent business survey, conducted with the professional sector, showed respondents are craving connection — they want to meet new people, share ideas and explore potential collaborative opportunities,” says Emily Cowan, Director of Community Services, Programs and Initiatives. “We’re hoping this pilot program helps meet this need.”

Anyone who needs a productive workspace — remote workers, freelancers, small business owners, students, seniors and creatives — are welcome to attend. Pre-registration is encouraged to ensure a desk space is available.

Please bring your laptop, charger, and any work materials. Headphones are also recommended. There is currently no space for in-person meetings.

For more details and to register, visit the County website or contact Karen Palmer, Economic Development Officer, at 613.242.6476 or email kpalmer@pecounty.on.ca.
