Large-item swap takes place across the County April 18 and 19

April 14, 2026

The County of Prince Edward is bringing back the large-item swap on Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19, as part of the 2026 Earth Day celebrations to encourage residents to re-use items instead of throwing them out.

Residents are encouraged to place their lightly used large items at the curb for others to take and continue to use. Large items could include furniture, electronics, tools, etc.

To reduce travel on rural roads, residents can post their items and location on the Facebook event page for people to peruse.

Items must be removed the next day. The event will be weather dependent and will be cancelled in the event of rain.

If you have questions contact Albert Paschkowiak, Environmental Services and Sustainability Supervisor, at apaschkowiak@pecounty.on.ca or call 613.476.2148 extension 4004.

Visit the County website to learn more about the different events planned for Earth Day.
