H.J. McFarland residents to get COVID-19 vaccine on January 28  

January 25, 2021

Residents of H.J. McFarland Memorial Home will receive the COVID-19 vaccination on Thursday, January 28.

A team from Hastings Prince Edward Public Health will conduct the vaccine clinic at the long-term care home. Extra staff will be on hand to monitor residents after they receive the vaccine.

Residents will get the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine within the 21-day window as outlined in public health guidelines.

Vaccination of H.J. McFarland Memorial Home staff is ongoing. Nearly 30 staff members have already received the COVID-19 vaccine at a clinic set up at Kingston General Hospital.
