The County has received a Rezoning application to remove the Holding (H) symbol from the property at 41 Willow Lane in Athol Ward.

The existing Tourist Commercial (TC-14-H) Holding Exception Zone states that:

“A By-law shall not be enacted to remove the “Holding” (-H) symbol until such time as:

(i) The on-site sewage system has been approved through the issuance of an Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA) by the Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP).”

The proponent has obtained an ECA (4886-DSWSJ7) from the MECP for the proposed sewage system to satisfy the condition for removal of the H symbol.

The amendment will permit 11 tourist cabins; a motel with 12 guest rooms; un-motorized watercraft rental; a barn for dry storage; and accessory uses including a club house, boat launch, boat docks, pool, bar, and washrooms.
