Construction of new sanitary pump station in Picton begins April 3

April 2, 2024

BGL Contractors Corp. will begin work on the new Picton Main Street sanitary pump station on Wednesday, April 3.

The work will take place at the sanitary pump station site located on Picton Main Street between Fawcett Avenue and McFarland Drive. Click here to view a map of the construction area.

There will be no disruptions to traffic; however, heavy equipment may limit visibility in the area and noise levels will be elevated for the duration of the project.

Pedestrians are asked to avoid the construction area.

Residents are expected to see an increase in construction vehicle traffic in the area throughout the duration of the work.

This new sanitary pump station is part of the Picton East Servicing project, which included a Master Servicing Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (MCEA).
