The County of Prince Edward facilities and services will be impacted by the holidays as outlined below:
Administrative offices
- Friday, December 23: Administrative offices open, 8:30 am – noon.
- Monday, December 26 – Monday, January 2: Administrative offices closed. All necessary services will be operating as required.
- Tuesday, January 3: Administrative offices reopen for regular business hours (Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5 pm).
The municipality will continue to deliver essential services every day throughout the holiday season. If you have an urgent inquiry when administrative offices are closed or after-hours, please call:

- 967.8777 for water or sewer emergencies
- 911 for emergencies / 613.476.2345 for non-emergencies. Prince Edward County Fire & Rescue is open 24/7 over the holiday season, including statutory holidays
Garbage, green bin and recycling collection
Curbside garbage, green bin, and recycling collection will follow the usual schedule over the holidays.
Landfill and transfer stations
All landfill and transfer stations will be closed on Christmas Eve, Saturday, December 24.
The landfill and transfer stations’ operating hours will not be affected by New Year’s Eve, Saturday, December 31.
