Garbage and recycling collection cancelled on December 29; rescheduled for January 3  

December 29, 2025

Garbage, green bin, and recycling collection scheduled for Monday, December 29 has been cancelled due to inclement weather.

Collection will be rescheduled for Saturday, January 3. Residents are reminded to have their garbage, green bin, and recycling to the curb by 7 am on Saturday, January 3.

The updated holiday garbage and recycling collection schedule is as follows:

If your regular collection date is: Your holiday collection day will be:
Tuesday, December 30 Saturday, January 3
Wednesday, December 31 Tuesday, December 30
Thursday, January 1 Wednesday, December 31
  • Regular collection will return on Friday, January 2.
  • Garbage bags must be tightly sealed and weigh no more than 40lbs when filled. All bags must have a visible tag. To review the Waste Management By-law, please click here.
  • Environmental 360 Solutions reminds residents to have their garbage, green bin, and properly sorted blue boxes out to the curb by 7 am to ensure pickup. If your collection is missed on collection day, please call 1.866.358.3560. 

Landfill and transfer stations

  • The Wellington, Sophiasburgh, and Picton waste sites will be open on Wednesday, December 31. All landfill and transfer stations will be open regular operating hours on Saturday, January 3. Please be advised that inclement weather may cause delays in opening the sites.
