Homes First Development Corporation will hold a public information meeting for a development proposal at Nicholas Street and Cumberland Street on Wednesday, August 28 at 6 pm at the Picton Town Hall (2 Ross Street).
The proposed development is situated on an irregularly shaped site located generally southwest of the intersection of Nicholas Street and Cumberland Street in Picton. A smaller triangular shaped portion of the site is located on the north side of Cumberland Street. Click here to see a diagram of the site.
The proposed development would consist of a medium-density rental housing project with unit types, ranging from one to three bedrooms. The proposal consists of a townhouse block and semi-detached buildings that front onto Nicholas Street. A low-rise apartment building is also proposed to be included and would be accessed from Nicholas Street.
This public meeting is an information meeting only. Public information meetings are held as part of the updated planning application process.
At a public information meeting, the proponent/agent will present the proposal. If any member of the public would like to ask questions or make comments, they will be able to do so after the presentation.
The statutory public meeting required under the Planning Act will be a Planning Committee meeting and would only be held after the public information meeting and when the assigned County planner has completed an analysis of the project.
