The County has received applications for an Official Plan Amendment, a Zoning By-Law Amendment, and Site Plan Control to re-designate and rezone a vacant property in Picton to facilitate the development of a rental community with both affordable and market-rate units.
The proposed development is located southwest of Nicholas Street and Cumberland Street. The applicant seeks to re-designate the property from Park and Open Space Area to Town Residential Area, and rezone it from Future Development (FD) and Institutional (I) Zones to a special Residential Urban Type Three (R3) Zone.
The proposed development includes a 98-unit apartment building, a six-unit townhouse block, and a semi-detached building with two units.
