Municipal offices closed July 1

The County of Prince Edward municipal offices will be closed on Monday, July 1 for the Canada Day holiday.

Offices will reopen on Tuesday, July 2 at 8:30 am.

Garbage and recycling collection

  • Curbside garbage, green bin, and recycling pickup service will occur according to the regular schedule.
  • Environmental 360 Solutions and Quinte Waste Services remind residents to have their garbage, green bin, and properly sorted blue boxes out to the curb by 7 am to ensure pickup. Click here to view the recycling and garbage collection schedules.
  • The County’s landfill and transfer stations will be open on Saturday, June 29. Visit the municipal website for more information.

Community Centres

The walking track at the Wellington and District Community Centre will be closed on Monday, July 1. The track will reopen on Tuesday, July 2 and operate on the summer schedule: Monday – Friday, 7 am – 3 pm.

The Prince Edward Community Centre will also be closed Monday, July 1.

County Transit

County Transit will not operate on Monday, July 1.

PECelebrates

A celebration of community, cultures and Canada, will take place June 21 – July 1 across Prince Edward County. Details about the PECelebrates Festival are now available on The County’s website.

Featured events include Revel: Celebrating Diversity, the Wellington Street Dance and Fireworks Show, and Canada Day celebrations in Picton and Wellington.
