The County of Prince Edward municipal offices will be closed on Monday, September 1 for Labour Day.
Offices will reopen on Tuesday, September 2 at 8:30 am.
Garbage and recycling collection
- Curbside garbage, green bin, and recycling pickup service will occur according to the regular schedule.
- Environmental 360 Solutions reminds residents to have their garbage, green bin, and properly sorted blue boxes out to the curb by 7 am to ensure pickup.
- If your collection is missed on collection day, please call Environmental 360 Solutions at 1.866.358.3560.
- The municipality’s landfill and transfer stations will be open regular hours on Saturday, August 30. Visit the municipal website for more information.
Recreation Facilities
The Wellington and District Community Centre and the Prince Edward Community Centre will be closed on Monday, September 1.
The walking track at the Wellington and District Community Centre (WDCC) will reopen on Tuesday, September 2 at 7 am.
Please note: Starting September 2, the walking track will operate on ice season hours of 7 am to 9 pm daily (except during paid admission events).
County Transit
County Transit will not operate on Monday, September 1.
The County Museums
All Museum sites will be closed on Monday, September 1. The museums will begin seasonal hours on Wednesday, September 3, with Wellington Heritage Museum, Ameliasburgh Heritage Village and Macaulay Heritage Park operating Wednesday – Sunday from 1 pm – 4 pm. Mariners Park Museum and Rose House Museum will be closed except for special events taking place.
The Museums will be offering several events before and after Labour Day:
- Saturday, August 30 from 1 pm – 4 pm at Macaulay Heritage Park: Jesus Estevez Launch Show & Sale
- Thursday, September 4 from 6 pm – 8 pm at Macaulay Heritage Park: COMTESSA Concert
- September 5, 6 & 7 from 10 am – 4 pm: Viktoria Brave Artist Residency at Rose House Museum
