New 1″ bulk water filling station in Wellington opening November 28

November 27, 2025

The new 1″ bulk water filling station in Wellington will open on Friday, November 28.

  • The new 1″ bulk water filling station is located at 115 Belleville Street (the new water tower location) in Wellington.
  • The 3” bulk water supply connection at this location continues to be available to approved larger-volume haulers. There are no changes to the operation or accessibility of the 3″ bulk water connection station.
  • The new system operates in the same manner as the temporary seasonal bulk filling station. The new 1″ filling station is coin operated, with a $1 minimum charge to initiate operation.
  • The new 1″ bulk water filling station will permanently replace the temporary seasonal bulk water filling station located at the Wellington and District Community Centre. This station will be permanently removed from service at this location.
  • Instructions for operation of the equipment are posted at the location. Users are reminded that the bulk filling stations are not intended for filling small water storage containers (e.g. 20L jugs, etc.).
  • The current bulk water rate, as per bylaw 233-2021, is $4.13 per cubic metre (1,000L).
  • Bulk water filling also continues to be available at 21651 Loyalist Parkway in Consecon (seasonally) and 15 MacSteven Drive in Picton (year-round).
  • For more information, contact the County of Prince Edward at 613.476.2148 extension 1023, 613.962.9108 extension 1023, or info@pecounty.on.ca.
