The new bulk water filling station is open for use in Wellington.
- The new bulk water filling station, located at 115 Belleville Street (the new water tower location) in Wellington, has been commissioned for use. It is available for use to all registered large-volume water haulers effective Thursday, May 15.
- The new system operates in the same manner as the Beach Street and MacSteven Drive 3″ bulk water filling station locations in Prince Edward County. Registered users can use their key FOB and switch to operate the new bulk water filling station.
- The new bulk water filling station will permanently replace the 3″ Beach Street bulk water filling station and the seasonal 3″ bulk water filling station located at the Wellington and District Community Centre.
- Changes to the 3″ bulk water station in Wellington were scheduled to take place Friday, May 16 to transfer service from the Beach Street location to the seasonal 3″ bulk water filling station at the Wellington and District Community Centre.
- The seasonal 3″ bulk water filling station at the Wellington and District Community Centre will not be brought into service for summer 2025. It will be permanently removed from service at this location.
- The seasonal 1” bulk water stations in Picton (15 MacSteven Drive), Wellington (111 Belleville Street), and Carrying Place (21651 Loyalist Parkway) will be returned to service as scheduled on Friday, May 16 for use during the summer of 2025.
- Instructions for operation of the equipment are posted at each location. Users are reminded that the bulk filling stations are not intended for filling small water storage containers (e.g. 20L jugs, etc.).
- The current bulk water rate, as per bylaw 233-2021 is $4.16 per cubic meter (1,000L).
