NOTICE: Info about pickleball courts project available at Picton Arena and online

July 21, 2026

The boards displayed at last night’s public information centre (PIC) for the Delhi Park pickleball courts are now located at the Prince Edward Community Centre (375 Picton Main Street). They will remain on display until Tuesday, July 28.

At the PIC, attendees had the opportunity to review the draft plans, learn more about the project, and ask questions.

The survey available at the PIC is posted online as well.

In 2022, County Council passed a motion to enter into a partnership agreement with the Prince Edward County Pickleball Committee. The motion also approved making the pickleball courts a project of community interest.

In 2024, County Council passed a motion confirming Delhi Park as the site for the proposed pickleball courts. In that motion, Council directed staff to continue working with the Prince Edward County Pickleball Committee on the orientation, design, communication, budget for the proposed courts.

The Prince Edward County Pickleball Committee has committed to raising $266,500 of the $400,000 required for this project. The remaining funds will come from the Parkland Reserve Fund, a municipal reserve fund generated by developers who pay cash in lieu of dedicating actual land for public parks in their new developments.
