Planning and Development Committee to meet July 19

The Planning and Development Committee will hold a meeting pursuant to Sections 34 and 53 of the Planning Act on Wednesday, July 19.

A combined statutory public meeting and decision meeting will take place for the following applications:

  • Consent & Rezoning File No.: B6-23 & Z5-23 – Arnold Istead – 848 Melville Road – Part Lot 80 Concession 5 as in PE143732; Ward 7 (Hillier) — Sever to create one new lot and rezone the property as a result of the consent. Planner: Emily Overholt (
  • Rezoning File No.: Z2-23 – Tens On East Lake Realty Inc. (Allswell Resort) – 41 Willow Lane – Part Lot 11-12 Concession 1 South Side of East Lake Part 1 47R363 together with PE149279 together with an easement over Part Lot 12 Concession 1 South Side of East Lake Part 1 47R8753 as in EC39500; Ward 5 (Athol) — Rezone to add the following permitted uses to the Special Tourist Commercial (TC-19) Zone: a tourist establishment with a maximum 11 tourist cabins, a tourist resort for maximum 100 day use guests, boat launch, dock & boat rental, mobile restaurant for maximum 30 people, gift shop, dry storage, swimming pool, bar and washrooms. The meeting will take place at Shire Hall (332 Picton Main Street) beginning at 7 pm.

The public is invited to participate either in-person, virtually, or through written comments submitted to the respective planner prior to the meeting.

Members of the public who wish to speak at the public meeting, either in-person or virtually, can register by contacting by noon on Tuesday, July 18. Upon registering to speak at the meeting, members of the public will receive instructions on attending the meeting in person or a unique link and directions for participating in the meeting via Zoom.
