Road closures and parking restrictions will be in place in Picton on Tuesday, July 1 for Canada Day activities between 9 am and 6:30 pm.
Road Closures and Alternate Routes
- Picton Main Street will be closed from Bridge Street to Elizabeth Street. Ross Street and York Street will also be closed.
- Alternate routes:
- Picton Main Street East to Paul Street to King Street to Elizabeth Street.
- Elizabeth Street South to Mary Street West to York Street, Elk Street, Union Street and Bridge Street to Picton Main Street East.
Parking Restrictions and Enforcement
- There will be no parking on Picton Main Street after 9 am on Tuesday, July 1.
- There will be no access to Market Square parking from Ross Street behind Picton Town Hall. Market Square will be accessible from King Street and Paul Street.
- Parking is free on July 1 because of the holiday.
- Please note: By-law enforcement officers will be on patrol and ticketing vehicles parked in restricted areas.
Emergency Vehicles
- The westbound lane of Picton Main Street will be kept clear of any structures to provide access for emergency vehicles.
- The alternate emergency route will include King Street.
