Seasonal changes to the bulk water filling stations in Picton (15 MacSteven Drive), Wellington (111 Belleville Street) and Carrying Place (21651 Loyalist Parkway) will take place on Friday, November 7.
Picton Bulk Water Filling Station
- The seasonal 1” bulk water station in Picton will close for the season on Friday, November 7. The year-round 1” bulk water supply connection will remain in service.
- The 3” bulk water supply connection in Picton continues to be available to approved larger-volume haulers.
Wellington Bulk Water Filling Station
- The 1″ bulk water station will remain open as long as the weather permits. Insulation and heat trace equipment will be installed to allow the station to remain in service until further notice.
- Final commissioning of the 1″ year-round filling station continues and is expected to be brought into service in the coming weeks.
- The year-round 3” bulk water supply connection in Wellington continues to be available to approved larger-volume haulers.
- New in 2025! The new 1″ bulk water filling station will operate using a debit or credit card payment system instead of coin operation.
Carrying Place Bulk Water Filling Station
- NEW in 2025! Heat trace equipment has been added to the seasonal 1″ bulk water station in Carrying Place to extend the operational season. The seasonal bulk water filling station will remain in place for use as long as weather conditions permit.
- An updated notice will be distributed when this system is removed from service.
The current bulk water rate, as per bylaw 233-2021, is $4.13 per cubic metre (1,000L). Units in Picton and Carrying Place are coin-operated with dollar coins. The units do not accept other coins for filling.
Instructions for operating the equipment are posted at the stations. Users are reminded that the bulk filling stations are not intended for filling small water storage containers (i.e. 20L jugs).
Those wishing to use the filling station must supply a clean connecting hose of at least 15 feet in length with a 1” female CamLock fitting.
The 3″ bulk water filling stations are only available to approved large volume haulers.
