Traffic disruptions on County Road 49 as Rogers Communications Broadband Expansion construction continues

September 8, 2025

The County of Prince Edward is continuing construction on County Road 49 as part of the Rogers Communications Broadband Expansion project.

  • Work will take place on County Road 49 in the area of Bethesda Road between the hours of 7 am and 5 pm, Monday to Friday. Work is expected to be completed in the next two weeks.
  • Minor traffic disruptions are expected to occur and single lane closures may take place during the work.
  • Heavy equipment may limit visibility in the area and noise levels will be elevated for the duration of the work.
  • Motorists are advised to drive with caution near construction work zones and obey all posted signage.
  • Members of the Prince Edward County OPP may be present in some work areas.
