Traffic disruptions on section of Upper Lake Street (Picton) July 6

July 2, 2026

Arcadis Professional Services will be working at 38 Upper Lake Street in Picton on Monday, July 6.

  • Work will take place between 7 am and 7 pm.
  • Traffic and pedestrian disruptions are expected.
  • The work area will be marked with cones and provisions will be made for pedestrian access to Millennium Trail. Click here to view the map of the work area.
  • Motorists and pedestrians are asked to approach the site with caution or avoid the construction area if possible. Heavy equipment and contractor vehicles will be parked on site.
  • Heavy equipment will limit visibility in the area and noise levels will be elevated for the duration of the work.

The municipality reminds the public about the importance of meeting all permit requirements before undertaking work within the municipal road allowance. Permits help ensure that work within the municipal road allowance is completed safely, properly, and without damage to public infrastructure. They also allow the municipality to coordinate work, minimize disruptions, and protect the safety of all road users.

In addition, a road occupancy permit is required for temporary use or occupation of municipal property, even if no digging or construction is involved.
