Weekly Bloomfield Main Street rehabilitation report: May 29 – June 4

May 29, 2026

Asphalt paving is now complete on Bloomfield Main Street from Corey Street to Wellington Street.

The project is ahead of schedule with work slated to be completed by early June 2026.

Additional work over the last week included:

  • West end boulevards were paved with new asphalt.
  • Maintenance hole lids were adjusted.
  • Removal of asphalt boulevard in downtown area began. 

The following work is scheduled to take place from June 1 – 5:

  • Completion of concrete decorative boulevards in downtown area
  • Completion of line painting
  • Completion of landscaping restoration

The municipality is rehabilitating Bloomfield Main Street from Corey Street to Wellington Street.

Throughout construction, free parking is available at the following locations:

  • Emmanual Baptist Church (240 Bloomfield Main Street, Bloomfield)
  • 257 Bloomfield Main Street, Bloomfield (seside Bloomfield Public House)
  • Bloomfield Town Hall (289 Bloomfield Main Street, Bloomfield)

Additional information

Throughout the week, single-lane closures will be periodically required. However, most construction activities will take place within the parking lane and both traffic lanes will remain free flowing. All businesses along Bloomfield Main Street remain open.

Driveways may be temporarily blocked during work. The contractor will provide advance notification to residents and businesses directly impacted by temporary driveway blockages.
