Quinte Waste Solutions has published the 2022 calendar for household hazardous waste disposal events. Events will take place in April, June, August and October.
County residents can drop household hazardous waste free of charge. The event takes place at 75 County Road 1 (Sandy Hook Road).
Household hazardous waste can be found in almost every room of your home. These products, if thrown in the garbage or poured down the drain, can have negative effects on the environment including an impact on groundwater and surface water such as creeks, rivers, and lakes.

Please note that used motor oil and electronic waste are not accepted at QWS mobile drop off events. Motor oil must be dropped at the hazardous waste depot in Belleville, while electronic waste can be dropped at the Belleville or Trenton depots. Operating hours are available on the Quinte Waste Solutions website.
