Public Information Centre: County Road 3 Rehabilitation

The Corporation of the County of Prince Edward has retained Jewell Engineering to complete the design for the rehabilitation of a section of County Road 3. The project scope includes ditching improvements, culvert replacements, paved shoulders and full removal and replacement of the existing roadway asphalt
surface. This project begins where the previous phase of the County Road 3 rehabilitation ended (civic #1460) and continues to the west for approximately 1.1 km (civic #1668). The design for the rehabilitation of County Road 3 is being completed as an ‘Exempt’ undertaking in accordance with the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (MCEA), which applies to municipal infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, water, and wastewater projects; however, the County is providing design and construction related information through a public information centre in advance of the work. The road rehabilitation is anticipated to be completed in 2026 (May/June to September), pending funding and approvals, and a minimum of one lane of traffic is anticipated to be maintained throughout the duration of the work.
A Public Information Centre is being held to provide additional information and identify the nature of the work, as well as answer any questions regarding the project.
